Mission Statement:
The goals of the Women in Health Sciences (WIHS) Committee are to promote faculty career development, enhance leadership skills of faculty and trainees through invited speakers and workshops, provide networking opportunities, and recognize the honors and accomplishments of women faculty at UC San Diego.
In 2020, we have 79 active HS Female Faculty members.

Dr. Taylor Riall, “Enjoy the Journey”
Dr. Riall is chief of the Division of General Surgery/Surgical Oncology, the largest division within the Department of Surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. Dr. Riall is professional coach who uses the Energy Leadership™ process to help physicians and surgeons create self-awareness, define their own success, make conscious choices, respond to their environment, and create the life they desire. She has an interest in physician burn-out in order to help physicians achieve their original goal of providing patients and themselves the compassionate care they deserve. At this event we honored Award recipients for all Health Sciences Women Faculty.

Speaker Dr. Allison Brashear, Vice Chancellor of Human Health Sciences and Dean School of Medcine, UC Davis. Lecture topic TBA – about Female Leadership.
